hands and clay

I'm going to have a go making teacups today with the children at Nest Studio. They worked really well on Thursday see; we talked a little about Japanese tea ceremony and how the Japanese believe part of the cup makers energy is imbued in the teacup. Its a peaceful lesson for busy children tired out from going back to school last week.

This tea bowl is for matcha tea.

what a beautiful subject and a great thing to pass on to wee ones in this sometimes crazy old world. I think you have just made me feel better.

.... you're creating great memories for those children! They'll remember pinch-potting forever, and their parents will probably have those little creations hidden in the back of a drawer somewhere to remind them of the days when their offspring were only young.

Hello! Melissa (Daisy's Mum) here. :) I looked through my archives and found a photo of a mini Moopy I made back in July 2006 - I've been lurking around for longer than I initially thought!
