I drank about ten cups of coffee today and it was great to just sit and not work. The kids lounged, sat on, wrapped up in, rolled, and played on Carly's beautiful patched blankets and I was reminded why it is so rewarding to be a textile designer- that fabric has a life beyond its design and manufacture...in people's homes; the patterned backdrop of some of the best memories and most relaxed unguarded moments.
