Strega Nona

I get such a kick out of working at the Ruth Tuck Art Classes. Having been lucky enough to go to this school when I was little has literally shaped my world. Jenny was away so I took this lesson. I based it on the COOL book Strega Nona by Tomie De Paola where pasta grows from a magic pot and overflows into an old Italian city. I remember the librarian reading this to us at primary school and feeling really hungry! Woops one of these images is on its side but you get the idea......These drawings were done by children aged between 8 and 12 in under an hour; amazing x

I had this book when I was little - I haven't thought about it in years! Those drawings are beautiful, what talented kids.

Gosh, I love Strega Nonna and always think about that story. My husband has NO idea what I am talking about! Those drawings are fantastic, exactly what it's all about!
